Our approach is to make learning fun and to be inclusive through drawing upon many different styles of how people learn. Sitting down with each service user, we agree set goals and regularly review to measure progress. These goals are specific to each person, with examples being social skills, communication, money skills and cooking.

Forming friendships and building confidence and self-esteem in a safe, secure, happy and welcoming environment is important to all at Spectrum. We host a wide variety of regular inclusive, fun and social activities - these include:
Spectrum’s ‘Big Lunches’ are a chance for all to contribute. From shopping for ingredients, preparing and cooking, through to setting tables, serving and clearing away. A daily roll ordering service and hot lunch is available at Berrywood Road and both centres have a tuck shop facility.

Spectrum replicates a realistic working environment. By working as part of a real operational team you can develop confidence and gain experience. Spectrum has its own social enterprises and completes ‘real work’ for many blue chip organisations both locally and nationally to the highest standards.
