Creating an accessible garden for all service users to access to enjoy and learn in.
“Soil is therapy” underpins our approach to offering horticulture. It is wonderful to see how service users engage with and learn about the plot to plate cycle of growing food.
We are actively raising money to improve the garden at the Berrywood Road Centre. The plans include new raised beds, accessible paths and a potting shed. The target is to raise £15,000 to enact the improvements. To date we have raised just under £5,000, thanks to contributions from Northampton Municipal Church Charity, Gardening with Disabilities Trust, Co-op Community Fund and service user, parent and carer donations.
We welcome further donations towards our target.
