Volunteering
As a retired teacher, I wished for a volunteer role that provided a genuine service to others whilst volunteering in an environment that was interesting, enjoyable and supportive. The opportunity to work alongside the dedicated, enthusiastic and professional staff at Spectrum has successfully met my needs. All service users at Spectrum enjoy a supportive, caring and valuable educational experience that meets a wide range of individual needs. Service users are universally enthusiastic, respectful and well-mannered. Spectrum welcomes volunteers with a wide range of skills and interests to assist in their work and offers a warm welcome and a wonderful environment for your weekly volunteering. Volunteer roles include supporting the educational programme, either in a one-to-one or group basis, using social media and marketing skills alongside the management team, or assisting in the charity shop.
